Elizabeth Sambor
Head Trainer and Instructor
Elizabeth Sambor (Liz) began riding as a child in western pleasure and games. Over the course of her career, Liz has competed successfully in many disciplines, including the hunter circuit, eventing and dressage.
Liz apprenticed for several years at well-established, professional barns. She developed her interest in dressage many years ago while working with Deb McCaughtry, owner of Shadow Facs Farm. Liz is currently training with Kate Poulin (www.poulindressage.com) towards her USDF Silver Medal.
In 2014, Liz received her USDF Bronze Medal on her current mount, Faith Havens Moon (AQHA). Liz has also qualified for the Great American USDF Region Two Championships in both Training and First Level with Finders Keepers (pictured.)
Liz has trained horses through 4th level and schooled her previous schoolmaster, Lucky, through the upper level movements, including piaffe, passage, and canter pirouettes. She has trained her current mount, Faith Haven’s Moon, from the barrel racing ring to the dressage ring.
Liz’s students have gone on to compete through Second Level in dressage.
She has also had students go on to compete successfully in Training Level Eventing. Currently, Liz is working on becoming an L judge for dressage.
